Construction of Tanka for safe drinking water
The i2i Foundation, supported by Pernod Ricard India Foundation and United Sprints Limited, built 120 traditional water harvesting structures called Tankas in Balaser panchayat Samiti, Jodhpur district, Rajasthan, prioritizing SC/ST, OBC, deprived, needy, and BPL communities.
60 households and 264 beneficiaries got access to potable water

The design of the Tankas was developed by the local civil engineer engaged in the project on the recommendation of the SDM, post which construction commenced.

Sustainable Water and Sanitation project in Maharashtra and Karnataka
i2i’s Water Stewardship project aimed to improve and strengthen sustainable access to water and sanitation for the communities of 12 project villages spread across Nanded and Baramati in Maharashtra, India.
successfully impacted the lives of 15,943 beneficiaries directly and 40,913 beneficiaries indirectly.
Activities Conducted
The project team focused on project grounding and community sensitization. A rapid assessment was carried out to analyze the ground situation and local needs based on which a holistic project design was formulated.
The project targeted to create a water replenishment capacity of 170,000 m3 along with improving sustainable access to water and sanitation
The key interventions were handed over to the local community to ensure smooth operations, adequate maintenance, and sustainability of the structures.

Efficient Use and Management of Single Use Plastics in Gurugram, Haryana
i2i Foundation steered a sustainable plastic waste management project in Gurugram with Municipal Corporation of Gurugram and Hitachi with the objective of tracking waste management through a real-time dashboard, streamline and address the operational challenges of plastic waste management and ensure its recycling and focus on awareness creation and women entrepreneurship for recycling.
Awareness outreach of 3,275 community members through direct awareness events and around 6.065 million listeners through radio campaign

Conducted Awareness drives in RWAs, Schools, Markets, malls and business complexes in Gurugram to raise awareness on refusing, reducing, reusing and recycling plastic waste
Created creative and thought-provoking posters to promote sustainable practices alongside a month-long radio campaign to spread awareness to a larger demographic
Women were given a training program in entrepreneurship and circular economy to reduce the plastic footprint of the city while also bolstering the plastic recycling market
An IT solution was developed to help track plastic waste generation and record practices that reduce plastic waste in order to aid decision makers as well as inform behavior change amongst communities in Gurugram
