Prof. P K Biswas has more than 35 years of experience in Management Education. He started his journey with Administrative Staff College of India, Hyderabad. After a brief stint there during 1983-84, he joined as a founding faculty of Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal (incubated by IIM, Ahmedabad). He also worked as Director with Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, Delhi; Director of Institute for Financial Management & Research (IFMR), Chennai, as the founding Vice Chancellor of Skyline University, Nigeria. In February,2019 he joined as Dean Academics at IMT, Ghaziabad, a premier B-School of the country. Prof Biswas specialized in Rural Finance, Social Entrepreneurship, Corporate Social Responsibility, Public Policy, Livelihood, Development Management & Sustainability. He believes that education brings respect and honour and helps to break free from shackles of ignorance. It is the pivot of human experience. He has published more than 50 papers in peer reviewed journals & 2 books. He has been awarded with “Bharat Jyoti” and “Shiksha Rattan” by India International Friendship Society”. He has been honoured by Times of India Group as “Educator” and “Trail Blazers 2014”. Under his leadership, IFMR was awarded as Best B-School for Social Initiatives by ASSOCHAM in February,2016. IFMR was also awarded for Managerial Excellence in Educational Institution category by Madras Management Association in July, 2016. Got “Gold Award for “Academic Leadership in Research” at IIM Ahmedabad in August,2016, in Indian Management Conclave. In December, 2017, IFMR obtained the SAQS (South Asian Quality Assurance Systems) Accreditation. He has been given citation for ‘100 Most Dedicated Professors’ by World Education Congress in July,2018.
